This photograph was sent to me in November 2004 by Barry Willson
who started his engineering career at Buckland Paper Mill
in 1963. The photograph was taken in 1969 and shows Barry
as a young lad (on the right) and an experienced Fitter Don
Brenchley (deceased). The two of them were heavily involved
in the manufacture of the canter lever wet end section for
No. 2 Paper Machine's wet end. The photograph was taken by
Maurice Hayward (deceased) another Fitter, within the Engineering
Workshop.
Barry says that he "was fortunate to be able to work
alongside some excellent craftsman............Many happy memories."
